On most Ocotillo homes, the back elevation is doing all the work. Big sliders and picture windows facing the water or the fairway, which is exactly where course irrigation and lake humidity leave mineral film. Those panes need hard water treatment far more often than the street facing side of the same house, and it is usually worth cleaning them on a shorter cycle than the rest of the home.

The existing buildup comes off with hard water treatment. Whether it stays off depends on the irrigation. Course sprinklers running near the property line will keep depositing minerals, which is why a lot of frontage homes here run quarterly on the back elevation only.
